Joint development cooperation for new electric motors
Additive Drives heralds the future of electric drives together with Daikin Chemicals. In a joint development agreement, the two partners are further expanding their existing collaboration.
In this major project, both companies are working on the development of new high-performance materials that can help shape the future of electric drives. The materials are characterized by excellent dielectric properties. Thinner layer thicknesses and partial discharge-free insulation are already possible and allow the development of new motors with high efficiency and a long service life.
PFA as an insulating material for a new generation of electric motors
In terms of long-term temperature behavior and chemical resistance, the materials are the best in their class. Test results show not only improved insulation properties of the conductors in the stator, but also a significantly improved overall efficiency of the machine compared to comparable motors.
As part of the joint development agreement, new systems are also being installed at our production facility in Dresden. The components and systems expand and complement our existing system infrastructure.

The collaboration is set to run for several years. Together, we want to drive forward the development of energy-saving drives worldwide and make a contribution to global climate protection. The aim of the joint project is to join forces to make electric motors even simpler, more sustainable and better in the future!
